Trivia Answer: C. Gremlins
Gremlins was released in 1984 and blended comedy with horror. The original concept was reportedly much darker, with the creatures being far more dangerous and frightening. Director Joe Dante and producer Steven Spielberg helped shape it into the quirky mix of humor and horror that became a cult classic.
